Please check that you meet the academic entry requirements for the course with your chosen college. If you’re still at school or college, then your predicted grades should meet the academic requirements.
The detailed steps below will let you know what to expect from your application through to beginning your career in computing:

Apply for your Higher Level Apprenticeship (HLA) in Computing with your local college. Colleges participating in Career Encode are: Northern Regional College
Attend a Career Encode Open Night in February 2020 to meet employers and find out more about what we do. Details of our Open Night will be posted on the News section of our site, on our Facebook and will be emailed to all applicants.
After the closing date, you’ll attend an Assessment Centre to be shortlisted for interview. These assessment centres will take place over the school and college Easter holidays.
If you’re shortlisted, you’ll be invited to attend an interview with your chosen employer(s).
If you are successful, an employer may offer you a job subject to conditions, e.g. that you get the necessary grades in your exams.
Your Higher Level Apprenticeship with your employer, and place on the course, will be confirmed subject to you achieving your predicted grades.
You’ll start work with your employer and your Foundation Degree course in September 2020.
